Movies, television shows, dvd's and the internet. Well, what you going to do, we got it all online now, so how are the giants of mass media going to survive the onslaught of worldwide piracy? First, let me explain the title of a 'Pirate'.
The term 'Pirate' is given to a person who unlawfully steals what someone else rightfully owns and uses it for self advantage. This means that the people who have will only share with the people who don't only if they can pay for it. This sucks hard because I make crap for a living and the cost of living is so high that I can only afford to see one movie every couple months. So i watch it all online. What, I don't care abut F.B.I. and Interpol guarding the assets of any corporations. So, you wonder where this is going? Well, perhaps corporations should sell there media straight to the people instead of to middle-men retailers who mark it up and rape the average consumer of there hard earned pay. I would love to be able to buy the rights to view and distribute any media I wished to. As it seems, corperate media is being tied down by the giants and us small time consumers eat it straight from are wallets. The future of anything controlled will only bring resistance or domination. The majority will eventually win but will the media giants fight it or will they shift there attitude towards consumer ownership of media. Face it, we already own it as soon as it hits the market anyways so why can't we work with the media giants for consumer distribution rights instead of becoming criminals. Think about it.
