Since no doubt many of you will be coming straight here without being familiar with the rest of the website, here's some things to know:

But since people are "eager", here's some additional guidelines.

Things that can get your thread locked:

* Spam (pointless, stupid posts, often in high volume)
* Flaming (verbal/written assaults on FunkHammer, Funkhammer.com staff, or other users)
* Bumping (replying to your own thread to get it more attention/"bump" it back to the top of the listing)
* Cross posting
* Double/more posting
* Rumormongering
* Making posts directed at individual FunkHammer.comusers (this isn't a chatroom).

Things that can get you blacklisted from the forums and Gameviewer for seven days:

* Excessive flaming or spamming
* Dodging the vulgarity filter
* (actually this has been changed, this is highly encourged)Calling another user a "noob" or any variant of the word "newbie."

* User harassment(just kidding)
* Cross posting to three or more forums
* Bumping or spamming threads with "In before the lock" or any of its variations.

Things that can get you blacklisted TEMPORARILY from the forums viewer:

* Racism/Bigotry of any kind
* Discussion/advocation of illegal activities(again just kidding)
* Discussion/advocation of modding and cheating(nope just puting it there so u want to do it)
* Discussion of/Advocation of/Requesting leaked information(highily encouraged)
* Repeated spam, after previous blacklistings(we are trying to make legend here people)
* Extremely excessive vulgarity(encouraged)
* Attempting to impersonate FunkHammer.com staff or a FunkHammer employee.
* Attempting to spread false information under the pretense of knowing a FunkHammer staff member or FunkHammer employee to any degree of seperation.

USE YOUR HEADS

I can't stress this enough. The majority of you are going to see fake screenshots, and read false information. The majority of you are going to believe everything you see.

Please try to think before jumping to conclusions. If someone links a "screenshot" that was clearly taken on a television so you couldn't actually see what you were looking at, don't believe it's a screen. If someone sends you a very poorly written "script," don't believe it.

Try engaging your brains, instead of accepting whatever rumors you hear as truth simply because you want to believe everything you read.
